Wayside Cross Ministries, a rescue mission based at 215 E. New York Street in Aurora, needs bottled water for Summer programs.
An E-mail statement read, “As we head into the Summer months, water supplies are crucial.
“Heat contributes to some 1,500 deaths annually and more than half are homeless.
“Join the Wayside Cross Water Drive and help supply our Summer needs.
“These donations are used in Street Outreach; in our UYM Summer Baseball League; and within the facilities at the main campus, Lifespring Center, and the Elgin Wayside Center.
“Please take donations to the Main Campus warehouse loading area, 211 E. New York Street, Aurora, Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m..”
Founded 95 years ago in Aurora, Wayside is a nonprofit rescue mission serving men, women and children at locations in Aurora and Elgin.
