Poem: What You Make Of Life

Share this article:

What you make of life may not be wholly true.
A Captain, you see, must depend on his crew,
The crew needs a Captain who knows what to do,
And both need a seaworthy ship to have, too.
The publisher needs some good authors to thrive,
And authors need publishers to keep them alive,
But each must have readers—for whom both must strive,
While reading skills, lacking, must surely deprive.
A teacher needs students to hone teaching skills,
But students need teachers to boost learning thrills;
But both go together, without doubt or frills,
Experience teaches, but ignorance kills.
Each obstacle conquered, each cleared away mess,
Has something or someone to aid your success.
What you make of life, and do well to address,
Assures a bright future, and your happiness.
