Fake News may carry with it, (no surprise),
Some grain of truth, amid its constant lies.
But False News says it much more accurately,
And dangerous in ways you do not see.
You think you can pick out what’s good and bad,
But not if there is no good to be had.
So what you pick and choose as fact is not,
And you have not an inkling you’ve been bought.
So this is crunch time, which must always take a toll;
Its bottom line is re-establish its control.
But here the target picked out to destroy
Is not the main objective they employ.
The voter is their main and primal aim,
To show how they control the political game.
If they don’t like your vote, they’ll try to make
A political assassination take.
But you, the voter, is the target here;
An autocratic skill which you must fear.
They mean to show they’re in control of you,
That they will win no matter what you do.
For them, this is a ‘make or break’ lit fuse;
Their seats of power they don’t want to lose.
But public outcry can, and will, decide—
That is, if it comes down to voter pride.
