Just when I thought it was safe to forget about the world and politics and go back to writing inane humorous (?) stuff, Wild Bill Suhayda pops out of his hovel to spew his baseless, non-existent, facts, this time about Hamas and Israel. In the first sentence of his drivel, he accuses president Joe Biden and the Democrats of supporting and defending Hamas for attacking Israel and killing 1,400 innocent people. How stupid is that statement? Stupid enough for Wild Bill to believe it and submit it as fact to The Voice.
As any of you intelligent Voice readers know, or any rational human knows, this attack on Israel was an unprovoked, horrible, unforgiveable, tragedy. Suhayda lashes out at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, who called for the release of hostages held by Hamas, for actually defending Hamas. If he heard anything from either of them, other than what he wants to hear in his brain-dead interpretation of their words and the words of other Americans, he would know those who speak out are upset about the innocent Palestinians now being killed for no reason. In Wild Bill’s view, if 1,400 innocent Israeli citizens are murdered by Hamas, it’s okay to murder 1,400 innocent Palestinian citizens.
In order to get at the Hamas militants, nearly the entirety of Gaza has been destroyed, including schools and hospitals, leaving nothing for those who fled the violence to return to. According to Suhayda, that’s the breaks. From what I’ve seen from him written here in the past, I think Wild Bill would be more comfortable in a country such as Hungary. There, he could worship at the feet of prime minister Viktor Orban, a European Trump wannabe, the same way he worships Donald Trump over here. Orban says only Trump can save the West. Orban, Trump, and Suhayda apparently hold the same views and will repeat lies until some of the public starts to accept them as the truth. Viktor is calling you, Wild Bill. Don’t miss the opportunity. But don’t fret. Vladimir would still welcome you.
Speaking of hospitals, Wild Bill claims the Gaza hospital in the news recently was accidentally bombed by Hamas, not Israel. How fortunate for us we have Bill’s expert, on-the-scene, eyewitness account, and he was perceptive enough to identify the projectile as it struck the hospital, even though Israel says they’ll go after Hamas wherever they are including tunnels under hospitals and schools.
And Nazis. This is the craziest of all Wild Bill’s claims, if you can somehow single one out one as crazier than the others. He states Biden and his congressional cohorts support the Nazi elements in society and had they been in Germany during World War II, they would have turned Jews over to the Nazis to die in concentration camps…even Anne Frank and family. Let’s see. Whose rallies do Nazi groups frequent, Biden’s or Trump’s? Who courts dictators and admires and paraphrases Hitler’s rhetoric and ideals, Biden or Trump? No, Trump’s the only one who praises dictators and murderers.
I’m not out to defend anybody or anything here, except if asked, weasels and mole rats, least of all Suhayda and his gibberish. I’m putting in a good word for civilians on both sides, from infants to the elderly, who had nothing to do with any of this killing and just want to get on with their lives. Did those 1,400 innocent Israelis ask to be murdered? Did those Palestinians in hospitals and six or seven thousand of their infants and children ask to be murdered? Even here at home, Jews and Arabs, people who have nothing to do with what’s happening thousands of miles away, are being attacked for who they are. Apparently, just letting them be is too much to ask.
I am encouraged by readers who write to The Voice and call out Suhayda’s fiction presented as fact. Wild Bill needs to leave the fiction to the pros.
