Yorkville Library: Story time, chess club, balance budget

The Yorkville Public Library Youth Service Department will have many events in April. All events will take place at the Library, 902 Game Farm Road, unless otherwise noted. For more information, or to register, call 630-553-4354 or visit www.yorkville.lib.il.us.

• Tuesday, April 2 and 16, 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., Chess Club.

Brad Smith will be available at each meeting to teach and answer questions. Chess sets will be provided. This program is open to all ages and no registration is needed. Any questions, please call 630-553-4354 x108.

• Wednesday, April 3 and 17, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Spanish Story Time.

Yorkville High School Spanish Club students will read stories in Spanish to the group. No need to register.

• Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m., Teens: Balance Your Budget.

Money Smart Week is March 30 to April 6 and helps consumers better manage their personal finances. Programming is offered to all demographic and income levels and covers all facets of personal finance.

Attendees will learn more about the basics of budgeting and the importance of managing credit and debit.
