Scores of community youth will bring an American classic to life November 9 and 10 with Your Performing Arts Center (YPAC). Two casts, one based in Yorkville and one in Plainfield, will present “Annie,” the Broadway musical, which features favorite songs such as “Hard Knock Life” and “Tomorrow.”

“This production is a full-length show, complete with all the Broadway songs you know and love, period-style costumes and sets, and fun choreography,” said Beth Jackson, YPAC theatre community director. “These students work hard to hone their skills and are excited to share their talents with their communities,” she said.

The shows feature youth, ages five to 17, who have worked closely together on the show for weeks, under the direction of YPAC staff. The 89 cast members represent communities, including Yorkville, Plainfield, Plano, Oswego, Montgomery, Naperville, Joliet, Newark, and Romeoville.

Tickets are on sale for all four shows. The Plainfield cast will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 and 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, and the Yorkville cast will perform at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. November 10. All performances are at Community Christian Church, 24035 W. Riverwalk Court, Plainfield.
