The Aurora Police Department recently announced the promotion of Commander Keith Cross as the Department’s newest Deputy Chief. He will begin his new role in April 2020 when the current deputy chief, Keefe Jackson, retires. A graduate of East Aurora High School, Commander Cross has been a sworn officer of the Aurora Police Department for more than 25 years. After joining the APD in 1994, Cross served in a number of positions, including a Community Oriented Police Officer, a School Resource Officer, and a D.A.R.E. / G.R.E.A.T. Instructor.
