League of Women Voters Central Kane County holds a candidate forum for Aurora Ward 1 alderman and alderman-at-large Tuesday at Aurora Police Department. The moderator was 20-year league member Patti Lackman. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, issue oriented organization which never endorses candidates. The Ward 1 candidates are Peter Aguilera, Emmanuel Llamas, Caryl Riley, Amanda Sperzel. Alderman-at-large candidates are Sherman Jenkins, Brooke Shanley, and Durrell Williams.
