Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry will be host to a 13-hour, three-location radiothon fundraiser from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8.
The live radio broadcast from multiple locations will be by 95.9 The River.
The broadcast schedule is 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Scott Mackay live at the River; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mackay at Spartan House Restaurant, Aurora; and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Mitch Michaels at Ballydoyle Pub for a Pack the Pantry party.
Appetizers, cash bar, raffle, and silent auction are included.
Local businesses and individuals will match every single dollar donated to the radiothon.
Interfaith, at 1110 Jericho Road in Aurora, feeds an average of 700 families weekly.
Due to rising costs, the nonprofit has seen a 30% increased use of its services.
A spokesperson said, “Hunger does not take the Summer off! Help us restock our shelves after the holidays and Winter months.”
