Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry’s 19th Annual Holiday Food Drive will run through November 25, a time when families feel the added pressure to provide for their households.
Long before the summer’s end, local organizations and businesses were already reaching out asking how they could lend a hand. Local grocery stores Cermak Fresh Market, La Chiquita Food Market and Prisco’s Family Market will be putting out pre-packed groceries on their displays for shoppers to donate. Longtime supporters and partners 95.9 The River will be dedicating broadcasts to driving donations and getting the word out about food insecurity.
More support is necessary to address the growing need. With help, we can make sure no one in our community has to go without the most basic, essential needs.
