After an extensive national search and selection process, the Aurora Housing Authority Board, (AHA) has selected Ralph Jordan to lead the public housing agency.
AHA Board chairman Joseph Grisson commented on the selection by saying “We are pleased and privileged to welcome Ralph and to have the experience and expertise that he brings to the AHA at this pivotal time.
Jordan is relocating from the Indianapolis Housing Agency, where he serves as the Chief Operating Officer and manages more than 2,000 public housing units and 8,600 Section eight vouchers, and other federally-assisted housing programs.
Jordan has 27 years of experience working in the public housing sector including managerial positions at the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and Chicago Housing Authority. He has a bachelor’s degree from Tiffin University and a master of science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Jordan replaces Maria Godinez, who has served as interim executive director since Keith Gregory left the position in June 2017. In the coming weeks, Jordan will assume responsibility for managing the AHA’s Low Income Public Housing, Project Based Voucher and Housing Choice Voucher programs.
