Aurora Kiwanians sort Toys for Tots

Kiwanis Club of Aurora members sort toys at a warehouse on Hankes Road on Aurora’s East side to assist Toys for Tots, Tuesday, as part of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora meeting. This year, toy collection is through December 13. Volunteers start distributing to approved 501c3 organizations December 16 from toys donated to the hundreds of donation boxes throughout Kane County. Nearly 24,000 toys were distributed by Kane County Toys for Tots last year to more than 10,000 children. They are looking for donations of new and unwrapped toys. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a memorandum of understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, which directs the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
