Yorkville author Brent A. Peterson will release his “Once Upon A Lifetime: The Epic True Story of Corporal William Wesley Bennett, USMC” at a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Highpoint Church, 2301 Tanner Road in North Aurora.
Peterson will speak at 2:15 p.m. and sign books available for $20 each. Refreshments will be served. Paperback and E-book editions will be available on Amazon.com April 14.
Peterson’s book is a chronicle of Aurora native Bennett’s Marine Corps service as a corporal in combat during World War II. Bennett died in 2011 in Aurora at age 92. Bennett (1919-2011) was a 60-year member of Fourth Street Methodist Church, Aurora.
