The American Legion Riders Post 181 from Sandwich coordinated “Bowl for Vets” Saturday, Jan. 26 at Sandwich Idle Hour Lanes. Focus: bowling, turkeys (bowling strikes), food, raffles, seeing friends, and making friends. Cash prizes were awarded to first place, Bobby Wilgus who bowled a 919 series; second place, Virgil Range, 844 series; and third place, Dawn Dennison, 827.
Proceeds from this event will be sent to Rolling Thunder to further educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars and to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become prisoners of war- missing in action.
