The proposed facility would be a gas station, car wash, convenience store, multi-tenant building and future out-lots, and hospitality use. The plan could be approved next month. • A property tax rebate in the amount of $45 will be mailed to each residential property owner who submits an application by December 17. Julie Morrison, Montgomery Village engineer from Engineering Enterprises, Inc. shares information before a public hearing on a low-interest loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency at the Montgomery Village Board meeting Monday. The purpose of the public hearing is to allow the public to comment on the Village’s plan to remove lead services in the Marberry Manor subdivision and the downtown area. The Village is seeking funding assistance to complete the project. There were no speakers at the hearing. She said following the hearing, there is a 10-day comment period where the public can submit written comments to the Village clerk or IEPA. A copy of the plan will be at the Village Hall until December 7. The project will allow the village to remove all known lead service lines. The loan is 50% forgivable up to $1 Million. Aurora Area CVB received 3.7% tourism increase in 2017

The Aurora Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) released a report that annual tourism expenditures totaling $200.5 Million in 2017, a 3.7% increase over 2016. Tourism expenditures represent the total amount of money visitors spend on lodging, gas, food, drink, and entertainment when in the Aurora area. Municipalities collected $3.9
