Anna Payton, Aurora Animal Care and Control (AACC) manager, answers questions Tuesday at the Aurora Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting in City Hall. The change to the animal wildlife response policy is to decrease operational costs and City liability. AACC will respond to calls for bats in living spaces and schools and skunks that have bitten a person and are contained. They no longer will respond to calls dealing with any other type of wildlife on or inside private property, or public property. Residents requesting assistance will be referred to a certified trapper.
