Montgomery Police Officer Kelli Smith receives a Life-Saving Award from Montgomery Police Chief Phillip J. Smith at the Montgomery Village Board meeting Monday. Officer Smith, who has been with the Montgomery Police Department for approximately a year-and-a-half, responded to a call of an infant in medical distress in the 2400 block of Mayfield Drive in Montgomery Monday, May 7. Officer Smith used her knowledge of C.P.R. on the four-day old infant who was choking.
