Doughnut contest helps the Army

Police, fire, and high-school service groups will participate in the second annual doughnut-eating contest to benefit Salvation Army Tri-City Corps from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, June 7 at Blue Goose Market, 300 S. Second Street, St. Charles. The fundraiser marks National Doughnut Day June 7.

Awards will recognize most donuts eaten in five minutes; People’s Choice Award, to the contestant who raises the most money online; and Nothing But Dough Award, to the contestant who raises the most money during the event.

Contestants will include St. Charles Fire and Police Departments and Geneva High School Key Club. Individual contestants can participate and raise money.
