East Aurora School District 131 is one of 373 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the ninth Annual AP® (Advanced Placement) District Honor Roll. To be included on the ninth annual honor roll, District 131 had to, since 2016, increase the number of students participating in AP while increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP exam scores of three or higher.

Over the past three years, East Aurora High School has had a 48% increase in the number of AP students with a three or above in exam scores, and a 39% increase in the number of AP students taking AP exams. Reaching these goals means that the District is successfully identifying motivated, academically-prepared students who are ready for AP work.

“We are delighted to be honored by the College Board,” said Dr. Jennifer Norrell, superintendent for East Aurora School District 131. “I commend our high school staff who took the risk and allowed greater number of students to enroll in AP courses.”
