Food for the Poor aim of group

In late November, the women of St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Aurora, sent 157 colorful dresses and pants to Food for the Poor in Coconut Creek, Fla.. From there they were sent to Jamaica and Trinidad, for the needy children at these missions.

In October, an article in the St. Joseph Parish Bulletin, thanked all the ladies for their hard work in sewing and using their creativity in designing all the cute dresses and pants for needy children at the missions listed above.

Thank you to all who contributed money for the postage to send these dresses and pants to Food for the Poor, who will distribute the dresses and pants where the need is the greatest.

The ladies who donated their time, material, thread, and clever decorations include: Irene Geltz, Rita Lempa, Carolyn Michels, Joan Lutz, Pat Dieck, and Lenore Blatner.

The Ministry of Sewing Dresses and Pants will resume in January 2020.
