First Armed Forces Run Saturday
The American Legion Riders from Post 181 in Sandwich and Post 489 in Yorkville will hold an inaugural Armed Forces Run, of 150 miles, Saturday. Registration will be the day of the event at the Sandwich VFW, 713 S. Main Street in Sandwich, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.. All bikes will leave at 10:30 a.m. and ride stops will include Mendota VFW, Dixon VFW, Ottawa Legion, and the ride will end at Yorkville Legion.
Cost to participate in the ride is $20. per person, which includes a barbecue dinner and a live band, Cowboy Upp. All proceeds will go to Gifts to the Yanks Who Gave. Dinner and band tickets are available for a $10 donation. Dinner and the band will begin at 5:30 p.m..
