If you’re looking to stash money for college; save for that down payment; or simply for something to do in retirement, swing by Prisco Community Center Saturday, March 11 for the Fox Valley Park District’s annual Job Fair.
FVPD staff across all departments and facilities will be on hand from 9 a.m. to noon at Prisco, 150 W. Illinois Avenue, Aurora, to answer questions, help match candidate interests with open positions and conduct interviews.
“If you come to the Job Fair and meet our qualifications, you’re going to walk out with a job,” said Candy Shankle, the FVPD’s human resources administrator. “We’re hiring on the spot.”
Shankle said more than 30 tables inside Prisco will be set up to conduct interviews as staff collectively sets out to fill dozens of seasonal vacancies. Everyone who pre-registers for the event will receive a $20 gift card to Chipotle. Additionally, prospective candidates will receive one drawing entry for an Apple Watch for every interview with a staff member.
All seasonal positions pay a minimum of $15/hour and openings are available across the District, including customer service, lifeguards, camp counselors, MVP sports coaches, aquatic instructors, park and athletic field maintenance, childcare, and much more.
