Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry Gala Saturday
Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry will hold its annual fundraising gala Saturday, Oct. 6 at Pipers Banquets on Butterfield Road in Aurora. This year’s event, OctoberFeast, will feature beer, wine, and whiskey tastings, a full open bar, a delicious German-themed dinner, and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $100 per person and all proceeds will help benefit Aurora Food Pantry.
Dress for the event is business casual, and guests are encouraged to wear lederhosen.

Cow Pie Bingo Fundraiser Sunday
Between Friends Food Pantry in Sugar Grove will be host to a Cow Pie Bingo Fundraiser from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at Calamity Jane’s Bar & Restaurant, 9S593 IL-47 in Sugar Grove. Attendance at the event is free. A calf will roam the Bingo Board and will seek to deposit its pies. Who holds the lucky number where the first pie lands will win a cash prize. Tickets are $10 per square for the Bingo portion of the event and can be purchased at Calamity Janes, food pantry volunteers, and other participating businesses. The event will feature many family friendly activities such as face-painting, a cake walk, goat yoga and family karaoke.

Mutual Ground Walk for Hope Oct. 14
Mutual Ground’s 11th Annual Walk for Hope will be held Sunday, Oct. 14 at Blackberry Farm in Aurora. This event raises a significant amount of Mutual Ground’s budget and enables the agency to provide domestic violence and sexual assault services to the community completely free of charge.
Walk for Hope is a time for us to come together, to show the strength of our community, and to support those who need us most.
