Girl Scout Troop 1508 receives honors at the Aurora City Council meeting Tuesday for its Share a Scarf initiative and community services projects. Last Winter, the scouts made scarves and tied them on the north side of Downer Place Bridge between City Hall and Stolp Avenue in Aurora. The scarves were available for anyone who needed one. Troop 1508 announced plans to make more than 100 scarves this year and make them available November 16. Ninth Ward alderman Edward Bugg, right, praised Troop 1508 for coming to him to find out how they could help the community.
