Why the Census is Important and How You Can Help will be the topic for a Community Conversation sponsored by the League of Women Voters at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Batavia City Hall.
Representatives from the Tri-Cities will share their plans for ensuring that our communities achieve a complete count. Siobhan Greene, State Board member of the League will explain how the census affects both, funding from the federal government and our representation in Washington, D.C.. She will identify hard-to-reach populations and will tell us how individuals can assist in ensuring that everyone is counted.
