Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) Ryan Hall, USN (United States Navy), a student at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, addressed the Aurora Council Navy League. His topic covered the complex organization and intense training of the U.S. Navy’s various expeditionary commands. Units of these expeditionary commands are assigned to the various geographic CombatantCommands covering the world, such as Indo-Pacom Command and Central Command, which report directly to the Secretary of Defense.
LCDR Hall was selected by the U.S. Navy to work for his MBA (master of business) degree at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Only a few in the entire Navy are selected each year for such a program. LCDR Hall recently learned that he was “deep selected” for promotion later this year to Commander (CDR), the next level in the Navy’s officer hierarchy. In recognition of this achievement, the Aurora Council Navy League presented him with the silver oak leave uniform shirt collar insignia which he soon will be able to wear proudly.
