Lunar New Year began this weekend, and Aurora honored the occasion with a New Year’s celebration to usher in the Year of the Dragon.
City officials joined Aurora’s Chinese leaders and community members for the New Year Celebration held at Pacifica Square, Aurora’s Asian-theme shopping mall, which has more than two dozen Asian-owned businesses.
Along with lighting of firework and remarks from officials, guests were delighted by a traditional dragon dance that circled the crowd and Chinese performances.
