The DuPage County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast will be held from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace. For tickets and more information, visit www.dupagefoundation.org/MLKDay.

Art Norman, retired from NBC News, will be the master of ceremonies.

In 1994, Dr. William Carroll, president emeritus of Benedictine University, organized the first Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast. Over time, it became an annual event that drew more than 1,000 attendees and raised money for scholarships. Sadly, as a result of Dr. Carroll’s retirement, this important, uplifting community event went away.

Recognizing the great need to bring diverse communities together, the Inland Real Estate Group decided to bring back this annual event by working in partnership with more than 200 community leaders from all walks of life and backgrounds.
