Additionally, the District released the 2024 Budget Snapshot, a brief, reader-friendly overview of the Park District’s 2024 budget, major goals and capital projects. The 2024 Budget Snapshot, the complete 2024 Budget document and other financial reports are available at www.napervilleparks.org/acfrbudgettreasurersreport.

The District’s 2024 budget includes capital funding to renovate playgrounds at eight parks and to begin site improvements at the Ron Ory Community Garden Plots that are part of a site master plan that was created in 2022 with extensive input from stakeholders. Additionally, improvements are planned at Naperbrook Golf Course, including the Marie Todd Practice Facility and renovation of the irrigation system.

The Park District is planning many celebrations for 2024. In addition to host playground reopenings at eight parks, the District will hold special events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Springbrook Golf Course, the 10th anniversary of Knoch Knolls Nature Center, the opening of the Frank J. Rus Pavilion at Knoch Knolls Park and the opening of the Rothermel Family Skate Facility at Centennial Park.
