Open Roads ABATE of Illinois, Inc. chapter meeting will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Plano American Legion, 510 E. Dearborn Street. An ice cream sundae bar will be available for all to enjoy before, during, and after the meeting. Agenda items include legislature updates, new products, safety, train fun run, nominations, elections, and holiday projects. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Halloween at Aurora City Hall Oct. 31
Aurora families are invited to participate in trick-or-treat at Aurora City Hall on Halloween from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. City Hall will be host to costumed trick-or-treaters to visit government departments on all five floors for candy, treats, and special handouts.
“Last year, we had more than 1,000 visitors to City Hall on Halloween,” said Richard C. Irvin, mayor. “We look forward to welcoming even more this year. Parents and children will have an opportunity to tour City Hall as they stop in each department and get an early start to the evening Halloween activities.”
Official citywide trick-or-treating hours in
Aurora will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m..
Mayor Irvin and city government staff members will be dressed for the occasion and will greet trick-or-treaters throughout the building.
Aurora City Hall is at 44 E. Downer Place.
