Anyone can create a postcard to brighten the day of an ailing veteran during the Remembering Our Veterans exhibit at Oswego’s Little White School Museum, 72 Polk Street, just two blocks from Oswego’s downtown business district.

Museum assistant Sarah Kimes will present Postcards for Veterans at the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. Visitors will be invited to drop in to create postcards to bring a little cheer to veterans at Edward Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Maywood by writing personal messages.

Supplies will be provided. The postcards will be sent to the hospital following the program. Children are invited, but must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-in registration at the door is welcome for this program with Oswegoland Heritage Association as host in partnership with the Oswegoland Park District.

For more information or to register for this free family activity, call the museum at 630-554-2999.
