Dear editor;
Stephanie Kifowit has been the representative to the Illinois State House of Representatives for six years. In that time she has been a tireless advocate for veterans’ rights. She served in the military, and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. She has been active in veterans affairs since her years of service from 1990 to 1994. She has been a member of the American Legion for more than 15 years, and is a member of the Marine Corps League and the Women Marine Association. Representative Kifowit has promoted legislation to help veterans, including fighting veterans’ suicide and getting therapy dogs for veterans. In every aspect of her life she has been a friend to our veterans.

Her passion is for serving veterans, just as they have served our country. My father was a World War II veteran, and I would want representative Kifowit’s voice there to serve and protect him.
