In response to the passage of the Fiscal Year 2027 Illinois State Budget in the Illinois General Assembly, State representative Jed Davis (R-Yorkville) released the following statement:
“I voted no on this year’s budget because it is packed with tax and fee increases, which will have a direct effect on the wallets of working families. Illinois Democrats claim to fight for affordability, but they just passed the largest budget in our State’s history.
“Actions speak louder than words. We’ve all heard rhetoric about affordability from the majority party, but their actions tell a very different story.
“I will continue fighting for the people of the 75th District and the people of Illinois.”
