Sunrise Rotary Club of Aurora invited everyone to its 20th Annual Wine and Chocolate Fundraiser from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the beautiful Stonebridge Country Club, 2705 Stonebridge Boulevard, Aurora.

Those who have attended in the past and shared in our program, understand our continuing mission of serving the youth in the Aurora Community, Teen Night, Fox Valley Christian Action, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Fox Valley Park Foundation, Special Stars, Autism Heart Project and many others fine causes.

Our Rotary Youth Exchange Program has provided more than 150 youth from East Aurora and West Aurora High School opportunities to study abroad for one year. In turn we have provided youth from around the world a year to study in our schools. Three years ago we began a Student Scholarship Program. It has provided students at East Aurora and West Aurora scholarships of $1,000 each.

The guiding principal of being a Rotarian is Service Above Self. Rotarians of Aurora Sunrise demonstrate the guiding principal by financial support and service projects regularly.

During COVID, we provided many hospitalized patients with I-Pads to communicate with family, friends and jobs.

Tickets for the dinner are $100 and available at rotaryaurora.org.

As our quest, this purchase of the ticket will entitle participants to Wine and Chocolate, of course, appetizers, and a full sit-down dinner.

There will be a special drawing for all attendees, silent and live auctions, and the very popular game of Heads & Tails.

For all of you who have attended in the past, we appreciate your attendance again. Of course, if you are unable to join us this year, you can still support our efforts.

There are sponsorships available: Ambassador, Diplomat, and Envoy. Contact the member(s) you know. Or, contact me, Charlie Schmalz at rotaryaurora.org.
