First Ward alderman Kristina “Tina” Bohman and Eighth Ward alderman Richard “Rick” Mervine receive tributes at Tuesday’s Aurora City Council. They did not seek another term in office.

Aurora Strong: Mayor Richard Irvin of Aurora, left in photo below, accepts a check from Hollywood Casino’s general manager, Greg Moore, for the families of the Henry Pratt Company victims in the amount of $38,110.62. The presentation was a part of the Aurora City Council meeting Tuesday. The shooting February 15 by a dismissed employee took five lives of Pratt personnel and injured five Aurora policemen.
