Poem: Truth And Knowledge

Share this article:

Truth and knowledge are unbeatable when paired,
But only if and when their focal points are shared.
As long as they are kept apart, in any way,
The truth may be dismissed as rumor, shrugged away.
And when you do not know the truth, have little choice,
No way can you have an authoritative voice.
Your freedom hinges on your knowing, that is plain;
So seek the truth, for only then may knowledge reign.

So what you do with knowledge then becomes your choice;
At least, you then can say it is your chosen choice.
But what you think you’ve come to know may not be fact;
For those who twist the truth are experts in the act.
So do not miss the bias in what you may read
Or hear, and by no means allow it then to supersede
What you already know—opinion is one thing,
But slanted views expressed as fact sees truth take wing!
