State representative Jed Davis (R-Yorkville) is hosting a Winter Warmth Drive along with co-host State senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris) through November 2. The drive will collect new and unused cold-weather items for families and individuals in need across local communities.

“As the temperatures begin to drop, many families in our area are struggling to keep their loved ones warm,” said Davis. “Winter clothing and gear can be expensive, and the costs add up quickly, especially for families with children. This drive is a simple way for neighbors to help neighbors, and I encourage everyone who is able to stop by and donate.”

Items being collected include new and unused hats, gloves, coats, socks, scarves, and winter boots. All donations will be distributed to local organizations and food pantries.

Donations can be dropped off at either of the following locations:

•State representative Jed Davis’ office, 1925 S. Bridge Street, Yorkville.

Office hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. 331-867-8200

•State senator Sue Rezin’s Morris office, 1802 N. Division Street, #314, Morris, entrance at Door No. 5.

Office hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Calls to 815-220-8720 are encouraged before dropping off.
