The largest one-day national food drive requires a large network to help fill depleted supplies in many food pantries. The annual event uses the mail trucks to pick up donations, including letter carriers on their routes. Saturday both National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 219, based in Aurora and NALC Branch 1151, based in Naperville, participated. Volunteers unload trucks on the respective post office docks prior to the food distribution by trucks to food pantries.
