African American Health Coalition Fair Saturday

The Aurora African American Health Coalition will hold its annual community Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 16 at the Aurora Christian School, 2255 Sullivan Road in Aurora.

This year’s theme is “Healthy Mind. Healthy Body. Healthy U.” The free event is open to the public and will feature exhibits, raffles, giveaways and free comprehensive health screenings. To take advantage of the screenings, you will need to fast for eight hours prior.

There are 37 tests included in the package. Men requesting Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) who are least age 45 or have a hereditary prostate cancer risk will receive the test at no cost. Breakfast will be served for participants who receive screening. Please enter through Door No. 11.

Screenings are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. No food or drink (except water) for eight hours prior to screening. Please drink one to two glasses of water one to two hours before a screening. Do take any prescribed medications if it is safe to do so without food.
