The Rotary Club of Aurora was charted March 13, 1923 and recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary! The Club will be host to a celebration event Friday, May 12, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. For more details visit www.aurorarotary.org

The Rotary Club of Aurora is a group of community leaders who share a passion for enhancing their community and improving lives around the world. The Club has made a positive impact over the years with various service projects, grant contributions, Interact Club sponsorships and three college/trade school scholarships. The Club sponsors 3 scholarships through the Fox River Valley Community Foundation. For 15 years, the club sponsored and managed the Aurora Festival of Lights in partnership with the City of Aurora. In 2022, the Club donated over $500,000 in light displays to the City, so they could continue and grow the annual event.

In the last 28 years, the Rotary Club of Aurora has awarded more than $850,000 in grant contributions to local and global 501 (c) 3 organizations! A few examples are Hesed House, Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, CASA, Rotary Exchange Students, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Shelter Box, Mutual Ground, and Polio Plus. The Club sponsored a local Days for Girls team that sews and assembles menstrual kits, more than 14,000 kits have been shipped to 43 countries.
