Sophia Luo, originally from China, sings the song “The Moon Represents My Heart” by Teresa Teng for members of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora, Tuesday at the Prisco Center in Aurora. Luo shared history of Chinese New Year celebrations on the first day of The Year of the Pig, February 5. She said the Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays for Chinese families and celebrates the beginning of the new year according to the lunar calendar.
