Stolp Avenue will be closed between Downer Place and Galena Boulevard, in downtown Aurora. It’s a celebration of community, and everyone is welcome, from 5 p.m.

Cast a line at free open fishing clinics

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Urban and Community Fishing Program will have instructors to teach participants basic angling skills including casting, knot tying, and fish identification, while demonstrating ethical angling practices for evenings of fishing fun at Lake Patterson in Oakhurst Forest Preserve, 1680 Fifth Avenue, in Aurora.
